I would like to comment on the Blue Badge system, twice I have applied for this as I do need help and twice I have been turned down,I have a balance problem which nobody seems to know what is wrong with me, my left has got drop to it which is very noticeable I have been like this for over three years now,I have arthritis in my lower back which is hell. I find walking tiring as I have to focus on lifting my left leg high to walk or I trip and fall over. I have to say I have done this a few times and ended up with some terrible bruises which has done nothing for my confidence as going out I am in fear of falling over so I have cut down going out and that is just to get a bit of shopping. I can't just cross the road because I am not quick enough to get to the other side ,using crossing points is a nightmare because the paving slabs around the crossing all have what I call as lumpy pimples on them which I presume are for blind which I understand they have to have but to me they are a nightmare because I trip over on them and have such trouble getting round them to cross the road. What really makes me mad is the government going on about elderly people getting more exercise but when something goes wrong they do their upmost kick you in the teeth.
