Do you think planning and pre paying for your funeral in advance is a good idea?I pre-paid for my funeral years ago. I have stashed the details somewhere in my flat and relish the thought of people scrabbling around trying to find them once I'm gone. If they can't find them, they can just chuck me into a skip. My will should be even harder to find - have fun! xViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hello! I joined some time last year but never got round to posting a msg. I'm 59, former teacher - had a stroke in 2011 while in service and moved back to Fife after 35 years living in Edinburgh and mainly Leicester. Been back in Fife 7 yrs now and need to expand my social circle, which is currently non-existent! The stroke left me with slight limp but didn't affect my face. Main interests are reading and pop/rock music - I use my exercise bike a lot but can't run or hike, etc. Would appreciate contact from similar aged males - not looking for any romantic involvement with either sex. Thanks for reading this.ViewDate:

Would you be prepared to pay more tax to fund the NHS?There is plenty of money in this country, but far too much of it is in the hands of greedy over-paid people. We could easily fund a decent NHS if less money were paid to the greedy and more were given to the needy. Huge pay-rises and bonuses might be legal, but they are also immoral.ViewDate:

Silversurfers Book Club Spring 2016Started Jenny Eclair's "Moving" - gave up half-way through because it loses narrative focus and almost seemed to be a different novel. Now reading "Sweet Caress" by William Boyd - 1st person story of WW2 photographer - v good, but getting a bit bogged down in France/war section. Will stick with it though. Also reading poetry by Larkin/ R.S. Thomas/Plath and others. -
