Are you happy to have your second jab delayed?I do find it worrying that we won`t be fully protected for longer but some protection for more people is better than none I suppose. But I do think going against the people who made it and know its limitations in the mad dash to get the vaccine out could prove to be a big mistake with people needing catch up doses and lengthening the process. Being in my 70`s with COPD and numerous other health issues that look bad on paper I have survived by shielding for almost a year with the support of my wonderful children keeping us supplied with food it will be the end of February before I am in line for any vaccine. I have been told it won`t stop me catching covid but hopefully prevent serious illness so vaccine or not it won`t change a lot for meViewDate:

Should the relaxation of the rules over Christmas be cancelled?I know how much everyone is desperate to see family, this year my daughter and my grandaughter both had babies that I long to hold. I so miss the sleep overs and hugs with my other cherished grandchildren. However after almost a year of virtual isolation with my wonderful family doing doorstep drop off`s of food and essentials, opening mail in gloves and isolating the contents, taking extraordinary care when going for appointments we are in sight of a vaccine. The virus will not take 5 days off from spreading, infecting and killing just because its Christmas, On Christmas Morning I will don my mask, face shield and disposable gloves and drive to deliver presents to the doorstep and wave to my grandchildren from a safe distance before returning home to cook lunch for 3 instead of the usual 14. Hopefully in spring or summer we will safely have a huge family get together celebrate all the missed birthdays, births and Christmas and appreciate everyone with hugs and kisses denied to us for so long. Wishing everyone however you decide to celebrate a very Happy and Safe ChristmasViewDate:

Does the thought of families being allowed to mix over Christmas make you feel anxious or relieved? We won`t be mixing over Christmas, Instead of cooking lunch for 14 on the day and 5 Boxing Day it will be just the 3 us, I will deliver presents for my grandchildren on the morning and wave to them from a safe distance. We have made it this far and so close to a vaccine its silly to throw away all the sacrifices we have made all year I look forward to a safe family gathering in the summer. I love them all dearly and its heartbreaking but I want to be around for walks on the beach and building sand castles next summer with them and so many safe hugs.ViewDate:

Will you take the Covid-19 vaccine when you are offered it?I am 72 with COPD and other health issues its my only way out of shielding I need to be here to care for my autistic grandson as long as possible and be here for all my family I will happily do anything that helpsViewDate:

Will the pandemic put an end to paying with cash?Cash is still important, people like my window cleaner, hairdresser and small local shops and cafes in our village only take cash. They have kept us going for the last year and I for one will continue to support their efforts so will always need cash.ViewDate:

Would you vote to legalise euthanasia?I would vote for but I would want safeguards in place to protect people from being coerced when in a vulnerable state of mind. I personally worry the decision may be forced on some without proper regulations in placeViewDate:

How likely do you think family gatherings will be this Christmas?I usually cook Christmas lunch for a large part of the family and we have the day together and on Boxing more come for lunch but not this year no room to distance and just one could take us all down. I am hoping to have a huge second Christmas in June with tables outside in the sunshine all being well that is.ViewDate:

Are you living with tougher lockdown measures at the moment? As a vulnerable family we have basically been in lock down since the start so it will make no difference to us when the inevitable happens in our area. It is hard being cooped up and depending on family for shopping but with rising infection rates its the only way to go. Not how I envisaged spending my last few years but as a carer I need to be alive as long as possible to support my autistic grandson. Having many age related issues I know what my chances of surviving the virus are zero so I follow the rulesViewDate:

Have the new coronavirus rules gone far enough? To be honest it feels like the older generation is being thrown under the bus, if no working vaccine is found this could be the last generation to have grandparents. The youngsters don`t realise that with age comes understanding, the ability to listen a valuable support network and child care resource. They aren`t worried now but they will get older and the virus will be here waiting for themViewDate:

Would you report your neighbours if they broke the ‘rule of six’?My neighbours are very considerate and social distance when they have people round so can`t see that changing any time soon and if they had an extra person its their businessViewDate:

Do you have confidence in the test, track and trace strategy? The main problem is not everyone has symptoms so can be totally unaware that they are spreading the virus as they are never tested, also not everyone with symptoms isolates or gets a test if they aren`t severe. There can also be false negative results I prefer to avoid contacts where possible and hopefully avoid catching it as I wouldn`t surviveViewDate:

Is a second national lockdown for vulnerable over 50s the right way forward?I am 71 with various underlying conditions so have stuck rigidly to the rules, but its annoying to watch so many flouting the rules or advice on distancing because they are young and fit and this virus is unlikely to kill them. Being trapped in my home at this stage of my life is not what I had planned or hoped for. This is not living its simply surviving the crack down needs to be on those that are spreading the virus and we need to shut our borders if as an island we can`t keep it out God help the rest of the worldViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops? To be honest I have been in a shop only twice when we were desperate as we are shielding and wore a mask and disposable gloves. In fact I wear a mask to walk the dog even though having COPD makes it harder to breathe but anything that helps cut down my risk of catching the virus or of me taking it home to my husband whose health is far worse than mine is worth the discomfort. I am strongly in favour of masks for everyone it cuts everyone`s risk of spreading it which has to be good and it should have been from the start in my opinion.ViewDate:

Are we on a countdown to chaos? We have been shielding for almost 4 months sticking to the rules to avoid hurting ourselves and others, just as we are told its safer to go out doors not completely safe but reduced risk this sort of thing happens. There are a lot of asymptomatic people out there passing it on without knowing to people who will travel back home and pass it on to others family and friends some of whom will die. We wear masks and gloves and stay 2 meters away from even family who have been keeping us fed who also do the same to keep us safe. Two of my daughters are key workers, one caught the virus and was really ill another tested positive with no symptoms both isolated and because they were so careful kept it from their immediate families and us. It breaks my heart to think how much they have done to protect us and idiots who can`t respect the rules takes risks like this. It shouldn`t be advice it should be set in stone to protect allViewDate:

Should Dominic Cummings resign?I have been shielding with my immediate family for over 10 weeks and to be honest in his position I would have done the same to have my child safe. He didn`t treat it as a holiday stayed in isolation and only returned when he was safe to do so. There are more pressing concerns like the press not social distancing outside his home for instance. At today`s briefing I was really annoyed by the same question rephrased by the reporters that I turned it off when what I want to know is how long before I can go out and how I can do it safely not all this nit picking.ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months?I am 71 my husband is 72 we both have health problems but we also have a 24 year old autistic grandson no way can we ask him to self isolate for 4 months with us and we have a dog to walk to be honest i would go stir crazy after a week. We have a caravan on the coast are we supposed to pay site fees and not visit it. We take all the precautions to safeguard ourselves and others but what will be will be I wish everyone good luck and good health stay safeViewDate:

Is the UK Government doing enough to lessen the spread of Covid-19?I would be happier if they closed schools and colleges early until after the Easter holidays my autistic grandson lives with us and attends college. We are both in our 70`s with COPD and other issues so if he brings it home we are in trouble the only saving grace is he doesn`t touch people and keeps his distance and doesn`t use public transport but it is a huge worryViewDate:

Will you be called upon to help with childcare if schools shut?I am 71 with COPD and my husband has this and diabetes too but we have an autistic grandson who attends college and volunteers at the local library so we happily carry on as normal, nobody lives forever so I am buying trifle and chocolate not toilet rolls :-)ViewDate:

Should there be a specified age to retake your practical driving test?actually I think it might be a good idea if its 50 years ago since you took a test things have changed a lot and not everyone keeps up to date with the new rules. In fact a gentleman I know was driving until last year hadn`t taken a test he got his licence from driving in the army. I learned to drive and passed my test when I was 47 and have driven daily locally and regularly on motorways for the last 23 years with only one bad accident not my fault. I would not object to taking a re test.ViewDate:

Should the NHS stop funding IVF treatment? This is a hard topic to approach I know from personal experience the pain of both life threatening illness and difficulty having a desperately wanted child. I have a younger friend who is struggling with the latter right now. As it happens I didn`t need IVF but she does and I wouldn`t want to be the one to have to say no to her because that would cause a life long pain. However I know she would be the first to pass up on her hopes and dreams to have the money spent on life saving treatments she raises money every year for Cancer Charities. I wish there was money for both.
