peterinth's bio
I live in the Bristol area, sharing a house with a 40 year old woman that lives another life. I look after our 16 year old challenged daughter. I currently have nobody that I can talk to and would dearly like to meet up with a mature woman that likes to travel, likes Classic fm and Radio 4 Plus, plays and movies. although I am a sociable person, but find, increasingly, that I want someone to talk to that listens and cares. I want to make a friend.
I work full time so have limited free time. Help! -

Anyone else from Bristol?Sorry to take so long to reply. I live in Yate, which is north Bristol and have done for the last 4-5 years. I'm happy Christmas is over and have booked a week away in Madeira at the end of this month. Never been to Madeira. Never been away alone so i'm excited and scared at the same time. I work full time so the activities for, more mature, individuals are mostly geared to retirees. I live next to a common and I have chanced a walk a couple of times in the last year, but I feel a waffle starting so I'll end now and speak to you again soon. PeterViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Ahh Thailand. The land of smiles. Go as a tourist and visit all the tourist spots, then go around again under your own steam. Taxis are cheap (make sure you have an idea how much it will cost first and don't barter with the driver, just close the door politely and wave down another taxi). Eat from the stalls that are busy, where you have to queue. Things to 'must eat' are: Spicy prawn soup (tom yang goong), sliced chicken with rice and cucumber + soup and a small serving of spicy sauce (cow mon gai) and rice with fried minced pork with green beans and a fried egg on top. (capow moo sap lagore kai dow). The list is endless. I'm off now 'cause I'm hungry. PeterViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hi LittleMinx. I love Thai food and can cook a little bit of it too. I shop every month at a Chinese supermarket in Bristol called Wai Yee Hong, spend far too much money, but then I'm an impulsive shopper. I have lived here near Bristol for the past 5 years having lived and worked in Thailand for 15 Years before that and originally from south London. Now you've started me off, my life history, should have been a writer (horror). Bye for now.ViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hi I live north of Bristol, about 20 minutes by car. I am a , sort of, young 69 and work full time so cannot get out during the day and get involved in local groups, which leaves me getting lazy and alone. I am pretty well traveled, like good music and good food. I have made a few errors of judgement in my younger days, but don't regret them as I feel I have lived life to the full. Thing is, I hope there's a long way to go yet and would love to share some of it with someone. PeterViewDate:

Looking for a cruise companion to share accommodation costsThis is my first post on anything like this. The thing is, I am a young 69 who is trying to plan some sort of break/holiday out of the school holidays. I have looked at all inclusive holidays and looked at cruises. I like the idea of holidaying in a warm/hot country. Here's the rub, I don't want to be on my own, in a hotel room or cabin, wondering why I took the holiday. I need to share, enjoy a bit of life with someone, too many times I have verged on the point of booking a resort only to back out at the last minute. I am not living on my own, but may as well be. I have a full time job that's fairly well paid and live north of Bristol (20 mins) and have a car. As I said at the beginning. My first post and I don't know what to expect. I hope you had a happy Christmas and a healthy New Year. Peter -
