Widowed 3 years ago, not enjoying life alone , miss my husband of 53 years more tha I can say.
Miss our wonderful holidays, not brave enough to travel alone after one Dubai break, can do daytime but found evenings so depressing. Want to go back to our favourite Maldives but single supp. makes it so expensive. -

Holiday companionRosemary Cliff Long Melford Sudbury Suffolk Travel Is there anyone out there that would like an elderly travel buddy ? Tours wouldn't work for me as I can't walk far, I'm really a beach & sea lover. My ultimate wish is to go back to the Maldives, Velidhu in particular, quite basic but also one of the cheapest islands. I have many happy memories over a good deal of years & would love to return Feb/March 2020. Travelling alone isn't a problem for me with all airport assistance available, it's more that I'd like to have a bit of company in the bar during the evenings & someone to snorkel with, I have a sea scooter I now find difficult to carry alone, it's such fun in the water I'd hate not to take it. Have a think about it !!!! Ro CliffViewDate:

Discover the secret paradise of the MaldivesAs a long time lover of many islands in The Maldives, now that I'm on my own ( widowed 2015, after 54yrs ) I'm not ready to give up on these magical islands, but with an additional single supplement it means I can't afford to go at the time we used to ( Feb ) . Has anyone any experience of a solo Maldives holiday from the UK ? RoViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?I'm in Sudbury, (my house, bungalow actually, is just over the Essex border, half the the garden is in Essex & the other in Suffolk, it's not that big ) the reason I mention that is, I don't tend to drive that far ( half an hour-ish since I lost my husband, Anyway I may be a bit too ancient (76 ) for who you're looking for in a travelling companion but I like company of all ages & love to travel, plus of course talking about travel over wine / coffee !ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Hi ! I'm in my 70's & just back from my 1st holiday alone since losing my husband 18 months ago, I chose a place we'd been to together in the past ( Dubai ), I think it was an expensive mistake, the journey was fine, daytime was fine but the evenings not enjoyable at all, I'm so used to sociable meal times, I found this part really difficult. I therefore think I'm going to try & find a travelling companion, male or female, don't mind, not too spend every minute of the day but certainly evenings it would be nice to share a drink & a meal with someone . I might have to expand the desired destinations, as The Maldives were our holidays of choice, the single supplement is probably going to put this out of my reach except for off peak dates. So maybe to start with, city breaks would be a good idea, anyone interested ?? RoViewDate:
