Spreading the word - WASPIHi Jeany, I think that's the problem a lot of people don't fully understand what we are asking for. I wouldn't say it's just men though as I know lots of men who agree with what we're about. However there are those 'I'm alright Jack's ' out there unfortunately. We paid in we're not asking for handouts, it's our money!! XViewDate:

Spreading the word - WASPIHi Archie, I'm sorry to hear how frustrating this is for you and I feel a bit slighted at your attitude towards women (too busy watching soaps) not nice and certainly not true for the majority. I believe in equality as do most of the women I refer to and it's funny how the government want us to be equal when they are going to benefit by it. I left school at 15yr worked and paid full NI for 46 yrs. We didn't receive equal pay we weren't allowed to join company pensions, we looked after our children. We now care for elderly relatives, grand children etc. We were not written to in 1995 about pension age changes they waited until a year or two before out 60th birthdays and in some cases after 60. We have the proof from DWP. I worked in social housing for many years and I'm well aware of how the government dishes money out right left and centre to many that are well able to go to work. We are not asking for the age to be 60 again we are realistic but the way it has been implemented is very unfair. Girls leaving school the same day as myself, starting work the same day but because they were born a few months earlier receive there pension 2 yrs earlier. I don't call that fair do you?
