Metime's bio
My children have long since flown the nest and although I am married, my husband doesnt like to travel. - I have travelled alone but often found evening meal times difficult.
I would like to meet or chat to other like minded people who have an interest in travel and life in general. I'm still a slave to the 9 to 5 but moving ever closer to retirement, My main goal now is to make everyday of my retirement be the best it can be. I am based near London but love to be out in the countryside walking. -

Looking for a cruise companion to share accommodation costsHi Missj I'm also looking for a general or group travel companion, happy with cruises or other types of travel.. I'm married but my husband no longer wishes to travel but I still have a bucket list to fill.. To pay a single supliment is often the same as paying for another person to travel, which is so annoying. I am planning a last minute holiday at the end of March 2017- it would be great to have some company, I would want to meet face to face before Id agree to travel with anyone though.ViewDate:

Anyone watching taboo? To be honest Lochinar I often turn the sound down on my earphones when they show violent scenes. It doesn't seem so bad when you can't here Tom Hardy wincing. Looking forward to warching next episode tomorrow morning :)ViewDate:

TRAVEL GROUP ..... Cambridge, London, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire ..... (or within reach of)Hi This sounds like an excellent idea. just what I was looking for, I've been fortunate enough to travelled to many places over the years, but the last few years I've been traveling alone. My husband no longer wishes to travel, There are far to many wonderful places left to visit for me to stop traveling now, However it would be a much more enjoyable experience I'm sure, if I could share the experience with other like minded people.ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?BWF I was fortunate to to do this trip a few years ago. I was preparing to go alone when one of my friend asked to join me. Over 14 days we did a land cruise by coach around Banf and Lake Louise, Crossed the Rocky Mountains by train. We then boarded a Princess cruise ship and travelled the Tracy's Arm passage around Alaska .... It was one of the best holidays I've ever had and I'd go again in a heart beat. I hope you find a travel companion to join you on your travels as you will have an amazing trip. Happy Traveling.ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Hi Lynda Sounds like we have a lot in common. I thought I was the only one who was married to someone who doesn't like to travel. I have traveled alone in the past but struggle with eating evening meals alone. :) I live on the outskirts of LondonViewDate:

New here HELLO !Hello. I've just joined Silver Surfers Just wanted to introduce myself mainly to see if there are others on this site who have a similar situation to myself. I still work long hours but I'm not a million miles away from retirement. I'm 56- I love to travel but I'm married to a man who would rather stick pins in he's eyes than go on holiday ( strange I know) I'm very confident and have often travelled alone but I do struggle with eating evening meals alone. ( A sandwich in your room isn't pleasant when your on holiday) I have looked at booking holidays who cater for group solo travellers but their prices are exstortionate Are you in a similar posistion where you travel alone and how do you approach eating and travelling without feeling like the odd one out?ViewDate:

Do you currently own a diesel car? This is probably another way of allowing the tax duty on Diesal cars to be increased with out to much of a public outcry. The Goverment is hell bent on raising duty anyway it can, These health professionals, were they hand picked.? ,There's likely to be many more who have an opposing opinion but this group fills the Goverments own criteria.ViewDate:

Anyone watching taboo?Love, love, love it.. I've been captivated from the first programme. I picked it up on catchup and watching it on my commute in to work. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends. -
