Scrabble at 70: The word game that never grows oldI love scrabble. But the manufacturers need to offer value for money. Many tiles are now printed instead of engraved. And letters in both methods tend to fade. The game is expensive enough for a bit of cardboard and plastic so lets have better quality.ViewDate:

Spending my daughter's inheritance on travelling lolI have lived on my own for many years. I have worked hard to develop lots of interests and as a result have a good social life . I work on the basis that if I stay in it's because I want to not because I have nothing else to do. The moral is take some initiative and you can thrive and not be lonely. You do not have to be fit or rich. There is so much out there that you never even realised existed.ViewDate:

Council Tax - The appalling injusticeReplace Council Tax with central funding from general taxation. Then EVERYONE pays according to their income.ViewDate:

Council Tax - The appalling injusticeSo what's fair about council tax?! It is not related to income or to ability to pay. And why do so few people pay it? The fairest solution is to fund local authorities through income tax/central taxation - that way, everybody who can afford to pay does so. And poorer citizens do not have to pay. Successive governments are petrified of addressing the situation for fear of civil unrest. Jungle law rules.
