Do you agree with the decision to axe HS2 northern leg?No doubt all of the desirable land and properties already acquired by compulsory purchase, will now be bought by Tory ministers and their friends at knock down prices !ViewDate:

Do you think XL Bully dogs should be banned? All dogs can be vicious and attack, cry so many people, but not all dogs have the physical ability, equipment and disposition to rip out someone’s throat. Maybe we start by outlawing any dogs that have had their tales docked and ears cropped, it is already unlawful to actually do it but the intimidating look appeals to a certain type of person and they just claim that it was like that when they bought it, so make the look it creates itself illegal, if you own a dog like that, you will be fined and the dog will be confiscated and destroyed. Maybe even make it mandatory for any dog of any breed to be muzzled in public, then it can’t bite anyone. I walk my labrador everyday and most days either a chihuahua, Pekingese cockapoo or some other small dog will start barking and or snarling or snapping, to which my dog takes no notice at all, the usual response from the owner of the little dog is “he/she doesn’t like big dogs”…… it’s a good job the feeling is not reciprocatedViewDate:

Do you support the new expansion of the ULEZ in London?I think it’s fair as long as all of the money raised is used to improve clean and efficient public transport in the areas where it is implemented. Not sure what percentage of vehicles in the affected areas are non compliant, but can’t believe it’s a massive number, how do these vehicles pass mot emission tests. Whatever the excuse, heavily polluting vehicles should not be on the roads.ViewDate:

Would you like to have a White Christmas?Snow on Xmas day would be fab, just what Xmas should be, unfortunately 1. it would mean yellow and red Met office warnings with named snow storms 2. Breakfast television interviewing Xmas day snowstorm experts about global warming. 3. The Daily mail, blaming the train drivers, nurses teachers etc 4. Nigel farrago blaming immigrants So on second thoughts…… maybe notViewDate:

Should serving MPs be banned from taking part in reality TV shows? The incompetence of some members of this government in the early stages of the pandemic, bordered on criminal negligence, their actions cost thousands of lives and that doesn’t include the questionable awarding of ppe contracts, and thie hypocrisy and morality of this individual makes him one of the most culpable. . The fact that he is actively abandoning his responsibilities for personal gain and self promotion only reinforces what a disgusting , selfish and self serving person he really is. All MPs should put that job first, or else do not become an MPViewDate:

Should Scotland be an independent country? If the people of Scotland vote for independence then let them have it, however that has to mean complete independence with no financial assistance from the rest of the UK. How about letting the rest of the uk have a vote on it alsoViewDate:

Do you think cannabis should be decriminalised in the UK?I believe the criminalisation of drugs is exactly the same as the prohibition of alcohol in America, I.e we have the uncontrolled and untaxed production and supply, controlled by criminals, worth millions of pounds and costing millions in crime. Once prohibition was ended it took away the power of the criminals, overnight. Governments tax tobacco and also tax alcohol, both of which are extremely harmful and are known to cause addiction and death, hence there is little argument for any moral objection. One step further would be controlled production by licensed laboratories. Criminalisation has failed in every country around the world, if people want it, they will obtain it.ViewDate:

Are Harry and Meghan making the right decision?Isn’t this just the tabloid press generating massive amounts of news out of something that isn’t even really very important, ultimately, what difference will it make to the lives of the average person or the country, whatever these people do ? Personally, I don’t care !ViewDate:

Is it time for a woman to play 007?As already posted below, Jodie comer would make a great female “Bond”, just a variation on her character in “killing eve”, doesn’t necessarily mean there can’t still be a James Bond, didn’t Roger Moore and Sean Connery both play the part around the same time ? May be wrong !ViewDate:

Do you agree with the TV licence changes for over-75s?BBC should look at other costs, particularly presenters salaries and amount spent on the news, how often do they have a reporter at the scene of an incident that occurred yesterday in another country or standing outside the Houses of Parliament to tell us what has happened inside today ? ridiculous, I know the likes of sky etc.. do the same , however if You think they are poor value for money then you have the option to just stop subscribing to them, the government (whichever party) is also responsible for making it compulsory to have a licence if you have a Tv even if you don’t watch BBC ! Following on from this does anyone believe detector vans actually exist and are able to detect people watching TV ?ViewDate:

RetirementI stopped work out of choice last November aged 55 bought a pup and wrote a bucket list. The pup is harder work than I remembered and has taken up most of my time, (but is also becoming my best mate) and eventually he’ll need less supervision and just be a companion. As for the bucket list it gets bigger every day and I look forward to working my way through it, my wife is not ready to retire in December when she is 55 but that’s fine the time has to be right for you, with my pension and savings I should have enough to live comfortably. I remember an old work colleague who used to say “People who say they would be bored if they retired, are boring people anyway” Personally I think it’s the best thing I ever did and look forward to a long and happy retirementViewDate:

Should the Jeremy Kyle show be dropped?Years ago there was a programme called “Clive James on TV” which I think later became “Chris tarrant on TV” they used to show clips of a game show from Japan called Endurance whereby contestants were put in boxes of rats or insects or had to eat disgusting things, we all watched horrified, yet here we are some years later with “I’m a celebrity”, shows of this genre, Jeremy Kyle, the early stages of X factor and BGT, judge Rinder, judge Judy etc......appeal to the tabloid , sensational side of people’s nature, they are cheap voyeurism, not entertainment, they are enjoyed by the type of people who film car accidents on their mobile phones, and Yes they should be banned.ViewDate:

Should more people plan for their death?Personally think it is more important to concentrate efforts on living a good life and enjoying what time we have together, ideally I’ll go out when I least expect it , whilst partying, on holiday, with a big fat cigar, in serious debt with a drink and drug problem, I have no time for the morbid pageantry of funerals and their ridiculous associated cost. We both have wills, everything goes to the surviving partner, with what’s left divided between our 4 children when we are both gone, ultimately you will not be here so it doesn’t matter !ViewDate:

Is obesity a lifestyle choice or a disease?Lots of “in the good old days” type comments and judgmental “fat people are just lazy”, observations, in reality we live in a very different world from 50-60 years ago, look at most inner city streets crammed full with cars to see that many more people drive everywhere, many more households have both partners working full time, hence processed convenient food is much more common, children’s education and entertainment is now all based around electronics as opposed to physical games, lots more office based service industry type jobs than production or manual jobs, massive lifestyle differences and genetics leading to more overweight people, more education on what benefits health and what adversely affects health, from early school years, would be beneficial.ViewDate:

William has embraced bald and shaved his head – was it the right decision?Of course it looks better than having a comb over or desperately trying to arrange a few straggly hairs that look like shredded wheat on your head. in today's world of political correctness i can't believe people still actually make an issue of it.ViewDate:

Are you a fan of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!?Some years ago Clive James on tv used to show a programme from japan called “Endurance” everyone was shocked and disgusted as contestants would be covered in slime or rats or have to eat insects etc.... people thought it was a crude programme humiliating people for cheap laughs, .......sound familiar ?ViewDate:

Is the greeting 'Ladies and Gentlemen' out of date?We have gender awareness weeks in work and transgender support eeek to support staff and families of staff who are undergoing the "transgender journey" , however I have not seen any conferences in work or support weeks for staff or families of staff with cancer or dementia, which affects a much higher percentage of people, do we have our priorities wrong ?
