Should shops continue to take cash?Yes, I agree. That’s just my preference.ViewDate:

Should shops continue to take cash?I prefer to use card payment whenever I can. Haven’t taken cash out in over a year. I’d be quite happy to use card payment for everything. Think it’s safer too.ViewDate:

Do you agree with the TV licence changes for over-75s?£12.37 per month is a lot to add on to a pensioner’s monthly outgoings. Even if they had introduced a nominal fee of £25/year it wouldn’t have been such a bitter pill to swallow. Next they’ll be taking away the free bus pass.ViewDate:

Would you feel comfortable going cashless?I much prefer to use card/on-line payments rather than cash. I hardly ever use cash, even for the small items. One person mentioned that no one who uses cash has ever been scammed - I wouldn’t agree. You often hear on consumer programmes about elderly or vulnerable people being conned out of money for services and taken to the cash-line machine to withdraw money. I think paying by card is safer as you have a record of exactly what was spent where and have more protection if money is fraudulently taken from an account. When cash is gone, it’s gone. Using card to pay for services could also help cut down on tax fraud by the unscrupulous.ViewDate:

September's theme is: Ageing Gracefully!I’m definitely all for ageing gracefully but that doesn’t mean being frumpy or having an “old” mindset. I believe in making the best of yourself. I still love wearing make-up, I just have to adjust it to the way I look now as opposed to in my 20s and 30s. I still wear jeans and heals, just not as tight or as high as I did when I was younger. You’re never too old to learn something new or achieve a long held ambition. My husband and I started our own business when we were in our 50s building on a hobby we loved. Ageing gracefully is knowing you don’t look the same, feel the same or do the same things as you used to but working with the changes to make the best of what you do have.
