Would you welcome a vaccine passport?By not issuing them, it is leaving people with no choice but to get a letter from their GP at a minimum cost of £25 which is a total waste of the GP’s time. A small plastic card would be a much more efficient way of proving you have had the vaccine, for many years as presumably if it becomes a yearly event, then that could be added each time to the card.ViewDate:

Win a pair of Hotter shoes worth up to £130!Have used Hotter Shoes/boots for many years and they are the only shoes that are comfortable from the word go. What is sad is that our Hotter shop has gone and it may be the last pair as I don’t do non try on buys.ViewDate:

Is a second national lockdown for vulnerable over 50s the right way forward?I am also on the vulnerable list but feel a second lockdown could be counter productive. Mental Health issues being the main down side if this happens again. Like you I have my doubts re this governments actions so far re Covid19 and feel it’s been one mess up from start to not yet finished. The instructions need to be clearer and concise, not suddenly put in place. Mr Johnson needs himself and his health minister to be available and up front. None of this perpetual going on holiday as in Johnson, he has a job to do and it needs to be witnessed that he is actually doing it.ViewDate:

Are newspaper stories to blame for destroying lives? What we need is provable factual news, we don’t need all the gossip stories, made up or exaggerated stories. We need the free press back who have minds of their own and are not persuaded to just cover a certain line.ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months? We would probably be ok as we have a house where we can each escape to, but have friends who live in a small flat and I know Neither of us could cope with that. We would fall down on the outside help we would need as most of our friends and relatives are as elderly as we are. If this government had got its finger out right at the very start of the Coronavirus we might be in a different position now???ViewDate:

Should Theresa May stay or go?I don't know what the answe is but we could learn from counties like Denmark, Sweden etc who do pay high taxes but then all Education, Healthcare, Social Care including care homes if needed, etc is paid for from cradle to grave. They have a choice of which school, college, university the children go to including specialist schools i.e. Autism Specific, if a Care/Nursing home is needed, then again it is the families choice. And as far as I'm aware there is little if any private running in these sectors. I personally would prefer to pay high taxes and know that when I needed services it was there for me.ViewDate:

Should Theresa May stay or go?My personal experience of this government comes from my family and our friends, many of whom have disabilities or are vulnerable. Their lives are infinitely harder since the Tories came into power 7 years ago. Reduced benefits, sanctions, few job opportunities, reduced Social Care input etc etc. To my mind a government who targets people who cannot or are unable to fight effectively to have their lives supported are hard and uncaring. It’s time we had a change, as I do not believe whoever took over, could do a more unkind and grossly unfair job of it.ViewDate:

Has Theresa May's power evaporated? We scrimped and scraped and worked every hour god gave us to get our feet on the housing ladder, I remember it took my entire wage packet to pay our mortgage at an interest rate of 15%. We lived off my husbands wages which had to cover everything including the cost of making our new home livable in, most of the work being done by ourselves to reduce costs. This house willl eventually be our disabled son's home, so therefore not costing any government anything as far as housing is concerned. If we had not made this huge effort our son will cost the government dearly in rent, housing costs, support etc. Our hard work and sacrifices will go on to ensure our next generation have an easier time. Realise this does not apply to all families, we were fortunate in being in work and fit enough to go down this route.ViewDate:

Has Theresa May's power evaporated?Feel as if TMay has made a total mess of things and regret that Mr Corbyn didn't quite make it despite a great campaign, Will keep my fingers crossed that even though I personally have had enough of elections, that there is another one in the next 18 months, by then I think people will turn more and more to Mr Corbyn, as the mess T May has created gets worse ,especially now the're joined with the DUP.ViewDate:

Have you changed your mind?Agree, providing it's not used like the present Assessment for Work as a means of stopping financial support for those claiming i.e. ESA and DLA. Job seekers allowance claimants would benefit from doing outside physical work within their capabilities as it is shown to benefit Mental Health wellness, as well as improving a persons ability to getting back to work.ViewDate:

Have you changed your mind? There is one thing I might add to this, having been in work most of my life, have paid my taxes and NI for all of these years to receive the support I might need if I became ill or disabled. Not sure I see the fairness in having to pay again. Maybe we should raise taxes enough to properly cover theses costs, like they do in the Netherlands etc where cradle to grave applies and with the choice of care home/ support if needed rather than what you can afford. Certainly under this Tory government, all I have witnessed and seen is not what a caring, compassionate society should wish for.ViewDate:

Have you changed your mind?Having spent 20+ years as an unpaid carer to parents, disabled son and for a brother with a terminal illness, which I had little choice over as services were not there for them. Having given up work at a loss of around £150,000 plus over these years, minimally helped by receiving Carers Allowance of £54 per week, which stopped the day I reached 60, even though my caring role carries on. Also consider the 30 + years I did work and pay my NI and taxes on the understanding that if I ever needed support myself it would be there for me. Collective payments for the common good has to be a better way than penalising those who have done the right thing all their lives, There will always be people who mostly through non fault of their own, will require services and support and I for one am glad that I have been fit and able enough to do this despite having to give up a job I loved and being financially worse off.
