Do you support Just Stop Oil activists or have they gone too far?The idea of stopping the use of fossil fuels is totally right, however the notion of stopping the use of fossil fuels NOW is, quite frankly, ludicrous. Stopping the use of fossil fuels NOW would create mayhem in the world, economies around the world would crash, and we would all come to a standstill. No food deliveries, no ambulances to ferry the injured to hospitals, no police to stop the inevitable riots etc. etc. Anyone touting the mantra 'Stop Oil Now' want their brains tested, anyone touting the mantra 'We need to stop the use of oil' is going in the right direction. From what I can see the UK is one of the leading countries to move to renewable energy sources as soon as possible. If the Just Stop Oil idiots want to protest, why don't they take their protests to places like USA, Russia, China and see how far they get with their actions.ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsI was appalled to hear yesterday that Oxfam has the temerity to instruct its work force to stop using the words 'mother' and 'father' under the guise of inclusivity. The CEO added the 'guidance' although his staff were instructed, was to foster greater inclusivity amongst the many cultures around the world. If the gentleman thought about that fact, he would realize many, if not all, cultures around the world prize above all the integrity of the family and to eliminate the words mother and father would be disastrous. If the idiots at Oxfam did succeed, the integrity of the family unit would be degraded and rather than introduce inclusivity would foster exclusivity. To apologise for using English was another big mistake, I can understand him wanting to address each country using its own language, that's respectful. However when using global guidelines, English is the adoptive language, as born out by conversations in the airline industry as with the maritime industry. The CEO really wants to get a reality check on himself and his organisation rather than come out with such stupid 'guidelines'. Has he ensured the sex scandals within Oxfam has been totally eradicated?ViewDate:

Speakers Corner Comments17.4 million members of the public voted to leave the EU. I believe the mainstays for leaving were, Regain control of our borders and immigration, Regain control in making our own laws, Free trading Globally. No matter how politicians spin those points, I believe they remain the same. PM Johnson has had the courage to put his head above the parapet and laid out how to proceed. It is disgusting how politicians have disregarded democracy and ignore the results of a democratic vote. It seems rather than to serve the public, they wish to serve their own thirst for power in retaining that power and to continue to feed off of the gravy train. Politicians in explaining why they ignore the results, will twist and turn our reasons for leaving to meet their wants and needs and to remain in the EU. Remember how Mr Brown expressed his views of a little old lady when he thought his mike was turned off, that's what politicians think of the voting public. Damn it we pay their wages I believe it is the turn of voters to express their support in a Prime Minister who is trying to uphold the results of a democratic vote. Come on you 17.4 million voters, put pen to paper and support the vote, end the disgraceful actions of the politicians who want to remain in the EU.ViewDate:

Does the country need a new 'caretaker' prime minister? No we just need to look back at Labours performance when they were in power. Took the country to the brink of being bankrupt and liberalised immigration to keep powerViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsWe are doing just what the jihadists, want division and discord amongst leaders of our country. Jihadists are laughing at us. Carry on like this and a far left Labour government will be in power. A Party who is soft on terrorists, who will support terrorists using EU Human Rights, who does not agree with the 'shoot to kill' policy, if Corbyn was a police officer and a jihadist came at him with a knife what would he do? Labour will bring back Political Correctness calling people racists who argue against extremists. Wake up to what is happening, we want stability, economic prosperity/ Brexit and a secure country. Conservatives have been given a kicking but let them continue the job they started with the necessary experience they have gained.ViewDate:

Should Theresa May join Jeremy Corbyn tonight in the TV debate? It is not the drop in the pound which is important, it is the reaction by the World to a far left wing Labour governmentViewDate:

Should Theresa May join Jeremy Corbyn tonight in the TV debate? You need to look at the financial market reaction a few days ago to Labour closing the gap with the Conservatives, the pound dropped in value. We will be in a an even greater crisisViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsLabour liberalised immigration laws allowing extremists easy access to our country. Corbyn is planning to do the same again. Under a far Left Labour government, they would be soft on terrorists, water down the defence of our country and muzzle our police and intelligence services. Welcome Putin. The terrorists/extremists constantly abuse our hospitality, under EU Human Rights Labour will allow that to continue. Is that what you want to happen?ViewDate:

Which is the most important issue for you?We seem to have selective memories, Labour was the party that took us to war based on a lie, resulting in many a good service person getting killed or maimed. Labour lied to us about immigration, they relaxed the laws on immigration hoping grateful immigrants would keep them in power. Corbyn want to do the same again. Labour lied to us about the financial state of the country leaving us almost bankrupt. Corbyn now wants to spend 84 billion, we will be paying that off for the rest of our lives. Brown, who thought he was 'off air' talked in disparaging terms about an elderly lady who dared to disagree with him, that's what Labour thinks about the publicViewDate:

Has Theresa May got the right financial balance for pensioners? With the debts the country and current Government inherited, Theresa May has little room to manoeuvre. The country seems to be forgetting what a mess was left.
