Is going digital isolating elderly people?I'm lucky enough to be IT literate (mostly forced to be because of working), but many of my clients, especially those over the age of 70 are sacred of technology and can't/won't use it.ViewDate:

Will you set a New Year's resolution?Someone said to me that if you make Resolutions, you can set yourself up to fail as if you break it you feel as if you have failed and let yourself down. So a better wording is 'Intentions'. Same thing but kinder to yourselfViewDate:

Should the NHS provide better mental health treatment options for depression?Working in mental health for the last 22 years, we have seen drastic cuts in funding. (Like many other services within the NHS). Mental health however is also one of the least supported charities when it comes to funding raising.. Over the years there has been a change in the treatment of mental health conditions. years ago a G.P would just prescribe medication e.g. anti-depressants and sleeping pills. Although medication is sometimes needed to lift the mood, it is often used with CBT and talking therapies, helping people to understand there symptoms and how to help to learn to manage these symptoms. I would urge anyone suffering from depression and anxiety to talk to the G.P in accessing these services. (Although there is a a waiting list if through the NHS)ViewDate:

How easy is it really to get a job when you're over 50?I think it depends what field you work in. High flying companies seem to want, what they perceive to be, young, dynamic people. I am 63 years old, and working, so dont know what its like to be unemployed and being over 50. I have friends who have been made redundant over 50, and they seem to have found it very hard to find work. Even with new legislation, I think if a company doesn't want you they will find a way to ensure you don't get the job.ViewDate:

Do you like the new £1 coin?Quite like the new £1 but alot of parking meters and trolleys have not been converted to take the new £1 coin. What a hassle as many still only take the old £1 coinViewDate:

I would like to make new friends for general conversation onlyI still work part time, early sixties lady. Looking to make new friends in the Herts/Beds area, either just chat or social activites. My friends seem to be in relationships, or their get up and go, has gone! Would be great to meet for a coffee and a chat.
