Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament? For the first time in years I'm feeling optimistic about the future. The amount of MP'S who have tried to thwart our leaving the EU is a disgrace. At least, in Boris, it seems like we have a PM who stands up to the bullies in parliament and the EU. We voted to leave, a deal was never mentioned, and if the EU leaders are not willing to negotiate for something that is in the best interests of everyone in the EU then we must leave under our own terms. Theresa May bent over backwards to please them and achieved nothing. Boris isn't going to do that, good for him.ViewDate:

Should Londoners choose if they want to use Uber?Surely the safety of Londoners, women in particular, is the most important consideration here? Uber may be cheap, due to the fact their prices are heavily subsidised to drive out the competition, but their record on assaults on women is increasing and has risen 50% in just one year. That's not propaganda but information that was obtained by a freedom of information request to the Metropolitan Police, this year. Black Taxi drivers have campaigned against Uber ignoring any kind of regulations for a number of years but nobody wanted to know because they thought it was just 'sour grapes'. TFL (Transport for London) have ignored the concerns for a long time and as a result there have been more rapes and sexual assaults whereas if they had brought Uber into line at the beginning these women may not have suffered. It seems it's only since the police have voiced their concerns that TFL have decided to act. The responsibility lies with TFL for failing to do their job and for Uber for thinking they were above the law. As for the drivers who may lose their jobs, Uber have already declared that they are 'self employed' and are awaiting the outcome of an appeal which they made against the High Court judgement that their drivers should have workers rights. Now they're complaining and calling them employees. You can't have it all ways. They have treated their drivers despicably. I would say to those people who don't know much about Uber to do some research. They're a toxic exploitative company. I for one will be glad to see the back of them. Long live our Black Taxi's, you can't put a price on safe
