Sunrise challenges the nation to get creative to celebrate National Care Home Open Day

Sunrise Senior Living, the specialist residential, nursing and dementia care provider, has launched a national visual arts competition to celebrate National Care Home Open Day on Friday 21st June.  Entrants are challenged to create a piece of artwork or take a photograph which addresses the theme ‘What Does Care Mean To You?’.

Each of Sunrise’s 27 senior living communities are inviting local people to show off their creative skills and submit their artistic designs before the June 7th deadline. The local winners will be announced by a VIP at a summer barbecue hosted by each community on National Care Home Open Day, to which all are welcome.

Winners will then be entered into the national contest, with a fantastic Nikon D3200 D-SLR camera kit worth over £450 up for grabs. Entries are already flooding in and the contest is heating up with some really creative and moving images.

National Care Home Open Day is a nationwide initiative to show the world what care homes are all about.  Sunrise communities always encourage friends and neighbours to visit and enjoy the wide range of activities taking place every day, so they are delighted to open their doors for National Care Home Open Day.  And, with art a feature of life at Sunrise, what better way to do this than with a creative competition.
