Sunrise communities open their doors for National Care Home Open Day

All 27 Sunrise Senior Living communities across England and Wales will be opening their doors to the public as part of National Care Home Open Day on Friday 20th June.

As part of the day, guests can take away one of Sunrise’s Home Design Guides, which provide design tips to make homes more suitable to the needs of older people.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural National Care Home Open Day, Sunrise is giving this year’s guests even more of a chance to experience life in one of its communities. As well as enjoying a full guided tour, visitors will be able to sample culinary delights prepared by Sunrise’s dedicated team of chefs, with dishes ranging from sizzling summer barbecues to traditional afternoon teas.

While guests enjoy the food, drink and (hopefully) sunshine, a variety of entertainment will be on offer. School choirs, stand-up comedians and jazz musicians are just a few of the acts sets to visit Sunrise communities up and down the country. Every community will be celebrating with residents and welcoming guests from the local area, and building on friendships with their neighbours.

All are welcome to attend, please see http://www.sunrise-care.co.uk/nchod  for details of your nearest event.

Amanda Scott, Managing Director of Sunrise Senior Living in the UK said:

“The last National Care Home Open Day was such a huge success and we want to build on that foundation and see even more people at Sunrise communities this year. It is a great opportunity to see Sunrise first hand to learn about life at the communities and enjoy the type of activities we host every week.

“We’re really looking forward to this important day and welcoming friends, family and some new faces. There are so many fantastic events going on, so we hope you can join the celebrations at your nearest community.
