A Change of Heart

A Change of Heart

I think I’ll do a Spring clean

I will make a start,

The first thing I will throw out,

Is the hatred in my Heart,

I’ll dig it up and toss it out,

Then fill it up with love,

I seem to feel much better now,

Just like a turtle Dove.

Next I’ll clean the windows, the windows of my eyes,

Then I can see the beauty of everything around,

My deaf ears will open to hear,

The cries for help,

Then do something about it, instead of all self.

I’ll smooth off all the harshness, from words that pass my lips,

I’ll decorate them all with Love, and seal them with a kiss.

So now I’ve changed my heart today, I am no longer gloomy,

The Happiness it has brought to me I wish I had done it sooner.
