A Journey for Brian

A Journey for Brian

Your journey started in October
When we were told the news
We had many mixed emotions
Including feeling blue

We were told you had cancer
A dreadful disease
You needed an operation
Which may give you some relief

But cancer is a fearsome beast
which can spread like fire
So after the operation
The news was dire

It had slowly crept in
Life can be so tough
We will have to be strong
And never give up

It won’t last forever
You’ll get over it, you’ll see
And then very shortly
Things will be like they used to be.
