Age

Age

I look in the mirror and what do I see
Wrinkles of wisdom and
Lines of laughter.
My arms have wings but I cannot fly.

I would like to dance and run a mile
But these old legs won’t behave.
Knees and feet ache all day
But still I stand, so that is good.

My hair is silver my eyes are blue
Although I need glasses to see you well
But through it all I can smile
For age cannot take that away.
