Another winter storm

A winter storm is blowing strong
It’s not good, it’s doing wrong
It’s causing lots of trouble and strife
It’s so threatening it’s a danger to life

My wife is confined in a nursing home
She hasn’t the capacity to talk on the phone
I honestly don’t know if I will see her again
I know one thing, she’ll not be the same

I really don’t mind if she catches this disease
Her future is so bleak it could be a release
My only regret as I said goodbye
I may not be with her should she die.
