Banbury Fair

When I was a nipper,
I loved the Big Dipper.
and I would squeal
on the Big Wheel.
No fortunes made
in the Penny Arcade.
Were you in luck
when you fished for a duck?
Apple wrapped in toffee.
Town Hall bog for a pee.
Rolling a penny.
Prizes weren’t too many.
Time to go home.
All on my own.
Absolutely shattered.
Mum says “Where have you been?”
