Christmas lights

Christmas lights

Have you ever noticed at Christmas each year
How many more lights seem to appear
They are in windows on trees and down every street
They are in shops and churches and everywhere we meet

The reason you see is plain to see
For each light is a memory, sent to you and me
Each one is a beacon of love and care
Of those that we’re losing or have lost this year

But please don’t be sad, be happy and bright
As memories of loved ones don’t bring darkness but light
They comfort us all every day, they say
As Memories are forever not just Christmas Day
