Coronavirus isolation

It landed upon us one winter’s day
Oh how I wish it would just go away,
It feels like it bed we should all stay
While fighting to keep this disease at bay.

But then the sun starts shining
And the flowers all start to come out,
Maybe things don’t feel that bad
But there’s still a long way to go no doubt.

People are coming together
People are showing that they care,
People are rallying around
It makes to all so much easier to bear.

We have to keep smiling
We have to keep going like a Brit,
We have to keep checking on the vulnerable people
They are the ones hardest hit.

Keep positive, it will soon be over
We will be able to go about our day,
The sun will be shining, the flowers will be out
And the children outside they will play.
