Cowboy Builder

I could not find any work so a builder I became
they said you can make lots of money in the building game
so I brought myself a hammer and chisel and a drill
and ended up given my first customer a shock
when I handed her the bill

She only wanted me to knock a nail in the wall
to hang her husband’s picture and didn’t want it to fall
so I banged in a nail and said that won’t fall down
then handed her a bill for three hundred pound

You should have seen the sight it really was a mess
she let out a scream and grabbed hold of her chest
they rushed her to the hospital but she died on the way
am still waiting for my money till this very day

The next job they asked me to knock a chimney breast down
so I hit it with  my hammer and loads of soot scattered around
you could not see the furnisher for the soot and the dust
I thought if I get any more jobs like this I will go bloody bust

They called me a cowboy builder, now what a thing to say
I did some lovely jobs every single day
I made lots of money since a cowboy builder I became
but am only like the other cowboy builders that are all doing the same
