Growing Old

I go into a supermarket to buy something important
I am sure it was on my list
But now my mind has gone blank
And for the life of me I can’t remember what it is.

Then I had to go to the bank to pay some money in
But there is a line of people waiting in a queue
So I ask myself why are they being so slow
It is just me or it is something they only know.

Time to go for a walk but I can not make it up the hill
I am now getting out of breathe so now I need a rest
Because my legs have become swollen and so are my feet
And I can not  see what is in the distance as my eyesight is so weak.

Then I walk into my kitchen to look for my glasses
I am sure  that I  had  brought them in here
But was that today or yesterday because I am getting annoyed
As they are lost and are no where to be seen.

Time to go to bed because all I want to do is sleep
But my mind won’t  switch of from all the problems in my head
Then I wake up really tired and  grumpy
And now that is all I want to do is go back to my bed!

I go on a bus journey to see a friend
The bus is crowed but nobody offers me a seat
I feel so invisible now as nobody notices me.
