Happy Dreadmas

Happy Dreadmas

Happy Christmas, I hear everyone say.
to some it will be just another day.
No tree to trim, no dinner to cook
no one. will call, they’ve all taken their hook.

I always thought that care meant share,
but it’s very one-sided when no one is there.
My life is empty, there is no fun.
I just see one face, it’s mine, always glum.

It is a fact that I no longer smile.
and life is now a relentless trial.
and too late now to turn and return
back to the days when life was fun,

So, I will just carry on until it’s done..
A Happy New Year is not expected,
spent like the last one, alone and dejected.
So, pull your crackers and eat your cake,
and don’t feel sorry, for goodness sake.

YOU CAN’T SEE US.
