How Time Flies

How Time Flies

We hang on to our memories
as we live throughout the years
To remind us of the happy times
and the days that brought us tears

To think back to the friends we had
from days we went to school
To having lovely holidays
sitting by a pool

For those of us that’s getting on
we have seen the years pass by
Sometimes when I look in the mirror
I have many a time give a sigh

To see my youth has disappeared
and the wrinkles have taken its place
No longer do the girls wink at me
now I have wrinkles  on my face

Least I lived the life I was given
and I cannot really complain
For I would do the same in the next life
if god sent me back again.
