In my dreams…

In my dreams ….

Each night as I make my way to bed,
I cannot wait to rest my weary head.
I shut my eyes, let my mind go to sleep,
My breathing slows and goes quite deep.

At last my dreams take over my mind,
I’m peaceful now going back in time.
I travel back to yesteryear, in my head,
Whilst never leaving my comfy bed.

In my dreams I’m a child back home,
I’m still a small girl, not yet grown.
My mom and dad are there for me,
I greet them, happy and full of glee.

My bedroom is there full of every toy,
I haven’t lost them, I’m so full of joy.
My Panda bear is sat there on his chair,
Look, look, surely you can see him there ?

I open the cupboard, my dolls and books I spy
I can hardly contain myself, I’m so full of joy.
I turn to my mom, she’s really there,
I look at her, I can only stare.

I reach out to touch her, my dream starts to dim,
Please, please don’t go, let me stay within.
Within the love in my childhood life,
No it’s gone, I’m awake in the night.
