Just Dreaming

I look out to sea then, I could feel the waves lapping at my feet
The sun feels really hot today
But all I want to do is sleep.

I shut my eyes and now the shadows are calling me
I hear you cry out loud so I look around
But you are gone and make no sound
The silence is deafening and I feel so afraid
I just need to escape from this terrible place.

I woke up with a start but now the fear had gone
I realised I had been dreaming all along.
I looked about to see you at my side
From this day on then I knew I would be all right.
