Lockdown…

Lockdown…

Lockdown gives us time to see jobs that need to be done,
There’s only me and you, so come on, get off your bum.
A touch of paint here, a touch of paint there
Us women now have time to look and stare.

We see what is broken and needs a repair,
I’ll paint my nails, whilst I sit on the chair.
Outside windows, the guttering and spout,
All need a clean, so get the ladder out!

The shed and fence look sad, need some TLC
It will have to be you, they are too tall for me!
Weeds on the patio, need clearing out
“Not another job “I hear you shout.

You do the outside, I’ll look after indoors,
I can always find more and more chores.
Our house and garden have never looked so good
Weeks of lockdown at least have done us some good.
