Lockdown: Row Your Boat

Lockdown: Row Your Boat

Because you are alone, please do not be lonely.
You may feel unseen, unheard, uncared for,
but you are always part of humanity.

During these times, you may feel adrift.
Cut moorings, lost anchors, the things you
believe in, restricted and missed.

Even having company may not set you free.
An unhappy berth within four walls,
leads towards the vast, unchartered sea.

So grab your oars and row towards the new!
Chat, and write, and date, till you defeat doubt,
And find the treasure that is you.

And when you reach new ports
And are dazzled by the lights
Say now I am not lonely
On this, the best of nights!
