Loneliness in old age

Loneliness in old age

Deaths dark shadows closing in,
mind fluttering like a butterfly on the wing.
Old age creeping up like Dracula waiting to consume my soul,
damn me to the eternal pit of despair,
can I hold on and repel the doom that is constantly searching in my mind,
who am I alone and so full of gloom?
Will a young lover come and save me from this pit of endless despair,
are you there to save me?
