Looking Out

Looking Out

Looking out from behind the glass
How green yet soggy is the grass
Buds on hedgerow and on trees
Shoots and stems sprouting just to please

Birds on feeders getting wet
No the rain hasn’t stopped not yet
How long must we endure this gloom
We need a shot of cold and sun soon

For a glimpse of blue skies through cloud
The suns warmth a daffodil standing proud
This soggy winter has been very dull and boring
Sat indoors looking out whilst snuggled cats are snoring

Spring is just around the corner I know
Mother nature be kind enough wet no snow
Sunshine the odd shower make us smile
You can find it in you go that extra mile

Talking, fresh air and the sun on our faces
Walking or sitting outdoors open spaces
Looking out just looking out grey old day
There’s nothing to see what more can I say
