Make hay while the sun shines

The sun is out the air is warm
I have this urge to rise at dawn
to set about the dreaded Spring clean
Where shall I start? I really am keen

Steam clean the bathroom, mop the floor
Need a new blind there are hair dye spots galore
A coat of paint to give it a lift
Shabby chic rules if you catch my drift

The cutlery draw needs my attention
It’s full of crumbs, dare I mention?
The unit tops are greasy and dusty,
and under the sink is smelling musty

Well I made a start but now rue this day
It’s not quite time for making hay.
