Menopause

Menopause

I allus used to be frozen cold and when we got in t’sack
I used ta plonk me ice cold feet against his nice warm back.
And now I’m allus t’warm these days, tucked up in our bed
Forever throwing t’covers off
Sweating like a pig at t’trough
Wide awake wi’a tickly cough
Daft thoughts running round in me ‘ead

I allus used to be icy cold, what use had I then of a fan
I used ta pose with charm and grace and me mek up never ran
And now I’ve melting panda eyes and seeping lipstick spoiler
I’d say me thermostat’s gone wonky
More rolling stone, less honky tonky
Me laugh sounds like a braying donkey
And I’ve turned into a broiler,
A temperamental, sentimental, sad old, fat old boiler!
