Mirror Image

I looked in the mirror and what did I see?
A strange old lady looking back at me.
I looked once again and yes, she’s still there
Eye bags, age spots and oh! greying hair.

So who was this stranger? I’ve seen her before,
Now where did I see her, I look just once more.
I’m feeling quite puzzled maybe it’s a dream,
Just look at those wrinkles
They so need some cream!

Then I started to smile which turned into a grin,
Felt a laugh coming on from deep down within
The person I saw being so half-asleep
Was clearly just me! Then I land in a heap.
So now was I worried? Hell no, should I be?
I’m perfectly happy that person is me!
