Missing

Missing

Missing someone feels like
A rip in a cloudless sky
A night devoid of stars
A gaping aching pit inside.
Suddenly, my frantic world is still
My senses rocked
By nothing now to do
No purpose to fulfil.
I watch myself with curiosity
I’ve somehow carelessly mislaid all sense of me.
