My Autobiography

I thought I’d write a book, all about my life
Entertain the folk, with tales of happiness and strife
I spent ages doing research, drank  barrels of cheap wine
Scribbled many notebooks, thought I was doing fine

But then upon the editing, it caused an unplanned nap
Forcing me to realise it was full of boring crap
Using a red crayon, I scrubbed out all the dross
Result was, many chapters in the bin I had to toss

When checking what was relevant, I really could have cried
The only words that I had left,… I was born,… I lived…… I died.
