Nasty nicotine

I really need another fag,
I know for you it’s really bad,
And many lectures I have had,
But still I crave another drag.

How do I stop the dreaded weed?
get rid of nasty nicotine,
It’s in my hair and on my clothes,
But I reach for another dose.

My lungs by now they must be black,
And I’m at risk of heart attack,
But still the urge keeps coming back,
I know it’s willpower that I lack.

Will I ever find the strength,
The craving is just so intense,
Maybe I’ll give up for lent,
For my sins I will repent.

I just can’t cope with the expense,
Soon I’ll not be able to pay the rent.
It’s time for me to seek some help,
Before these fags destroy my health.
