New Zealand

To all our friends in New Zealand
Our hearts today are broken
We all stand here beside you
Support won’t go unspoken

Your precious small oasis
Your glorious unspoilt space
Has been attacked by evil
You’ve seen its violent face.

Hands reach across the ocean
Stay glorious, wild and free
Don’t let the darkness beat you
love speeds across the sea.

Remember what you stand for
On this your darkest day
Your way of life is precious
Hope always find a way.

I live in a tied cottage on a farm in rural Dorset. I work as an activity coordinator in a local care home, organising everything from visiting donkeys to trips out to the seaside! I have always been involved in agriculture. I love travelling, gardening , reading and I also have taken to writing poetry.
