This is how all we humans should be
Kind acts of assistance cost nothing – they’re free
But they will set in motion a chain of events
That travels so far we can’t see where it went.

Something freely given, is gratefully received
By those who are trapped in a position of need
Just stop for one moment in your busy day
To be kind to someone you meet on your way

This world seems so hostile, full of misery and greed
Sometimes a kind word or gesture is all that we need
In the midst of our fears, our worries and sorrow
To put a smile on our face and a hope for tomorrow.
