Patience

Patience

My patience is like an elastic band
That’s long and strong and thick
People see it lying there and think
Let’s give this thing some stick

They stretch it and they ping it
They pull it from both ends
They take it round a corner
To see how well it bends

A cheeky little snap here
A stretch and pull just there
Pull it back and let it go
And fling it through the air

I feel this band is stretched too thin
It’s under too much stress
One day the suckers gonna blow
And oh my god the mess!
