Tea For Two

Tea For Two

We received an invitation to a flower festival and strawberry tea
At a 120 year old Anglican Church in Alberta’s High Country
Nestled in the foothills south west of Calgary
Among fertile ranch and farmland with breathtaking scenery

This annual event has been held for over half a century
A call to view the flowers and enjoy their hospitality
The ladies of the parish put on a lovely English tea
Fresh cream and strawberry jam on scones a delightful delicacy

The church and nearby cemetery are adorned with beautiful bouquets
Planters filled with petunias scattered amongst the floral display
We enjoyed our annual visit and scrumptious tea for two
Drove home lazily along  the back road admiring the spectacular view
