The Traveller

The Traveller

That desperate time when nothing rhymed,
When sadness stole the day
I went online to ask for help
And a traveller came my way.

A traveller from a different world
Which seemed to be like mine.
A world where heartbreak, pain and grief
Could not be eased by time.

His words were kind and caring
And raised my spirits high.
Suddenly the sun shone through
And hope came passing by.

But clouds of doubt began to grow
Guilt crept in the dark
Fear lay with me through the night
Betrayal gripped my heart.

And then the traveller wrote no more,
Just space where words had been.
So why does my heart ache so much
To see No Message on the screen.
