Thumbs up doc …

Iv’e been sitting here pondering, and giving lots of thought,
considering if I shouldn’t, or maybe I just ought.
It’s this thumb of mine, that’s causing me probs,
it just sticks there, almost useless, giving the occasional throb.

I know you said you would ‘give it a go’
the outcome of which, you said ‘I don’t know’
It may turn out better, and maybe not,
and you wouldn’t know until you removed the pot.

There’s no one to ask with a similar plight.
to prove you wrong, or, hopefully right.
No one to say “it will  turn out fine “,
there’s only me, the decision is mine.

I have to confess, your doubts made me hover,
and if I chose wrongly, it may never recover.
So, Iv’e decided to wait until it gets dire.
not jump out of the fat, and into the fire.

So if you don’t mind, I will put you on hold,
you may find another one, I may even get bold.
Thanks for your efforts, suggestions, your time,
I just wish this rotten old thumb, wasn’t mine!
