Time

Kathy Thomas has written this very poignant about time:

Time

Time waits for no man and so we waste

Those precious moments passed in haste.

We take no time to stop and see

Or wait a while and just let be.

Our time upon this earth is brief

Years steal our time, a timeless thief

Taking our youth, our happiness and joy

Destroying dreams of girl and boy.

Maybe it’s time to just stand still

To take a while and take our fill

Of the beauty there before our eyes,

Ignoring time and all its lies.

If my time upon this earth is brief

I’ll steal some from that timeless thief.

I’ll take my time to enjoy my life,

As mother, grandmother, lover, wife.

When my time is done and I look back

I’ll not bemoan all that I lack.

In truth my life is full of joy

Fulfilled dreams of girl and boy.

I’ll remember how I stopped to stare

At all the wonders everywhere.

How I loved, was loved and enjoyed my time

Upon this earth, all her glories mine.
