Tomorrow Isn’t Promised

Tomorrow Isn’t Promised

As we propel through time and space

What’s to become of the human race

Nothing has changed in 100 years

Since peace declared disarmed our fears

We text and talk such needless chatter

Of things that sadly do not matter

Race colour faith and creed

No mention of what we really need

Whats  yours is mine and mine I own

Warships to sea and missiles flown

Built bridges bombed and treaties burned

The dogs of war asleep returned

What will it take to end this strife

To whom to turn to save a life

Beyond this realm the answer lies

A higher power to recognise

All nations rise and call his name

In every tongue it’s all the same

To save us from ourselves request

To calm the sea of such unrest

Let  loves pure light show us the way

To end the wars waging today

To shine into the hearts of men

So peace and joy will reign again
