Touch

Such a big absence in my life
No longer can we greet our friends
with a hug, or a kiss
All that had to end

Grandchildren cannot have a cuddle
They really do not understand
No shaking hands with people
Because all touching is banned

When lockdown ensued
all human contact came to an end
All I really want now
is the biggest hug
from family and friends.

I am hoping very much that I have lots stored up.
