Tulip

Tulip

Heavy are the raindrops sitting on my head
Leaning over hunched in the flower bed
Dreaming of the golden sun to lift me
Stem straight face to the sky cheerfully

Bright are my petals the bees float in
Flutter inside beads of nectar collecting
Leaves pale green shelter my glory
The humble vibrant tulip I adore thee
