Tunnel of Life

Tunnel of Life

I stood there agonising at my inner self,
Whilst raging at the truth,
And wonder how this journey ends,
One footstep at a time.
Another twist, just one more turn,
I seem to hear you say,
Follow me it’s not too far,
I’ve been there once before.
And on and on we stumbled,
Towards our guiding light,
Your eyes the last I see,
As I hear the whistle call.
